Islamic Revolution and the establishment of an Islamic Republic in Iran gave the opportunity to Muslims, who have maintained their identity against secular thinking in the world, to express themselves. This study assesses this hypothesis: “events after the Iranian revolution indicate that some of the countries in the region along with the western great powers fight against the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and the rise of the Shia in Pakistan in two axes. The first was to create divisions between Shias and Sunnis in Pakistan, fueling sectarian strife and advertising that Iranian revolution is a shiite revolution, advocates Shias and wants to establish a shiite government in Pakistan. The second axis was activities to display that Pakistan government is an Islamist one.”
In both axis, Saudi Arabia and America played the key role, resulting in anti-Shiite violence in Pakistan. The research has used a synthesis historical-descriptive and content analysis method.
