The hypothesis of the research is based on the statement that Erdogan has prepared a platform for the consolidation of his political power and his party by resorting to various populist policies.
Conclusion: Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a populist who, by highlighting the corruption and passivity of the previous regimes, with temporary economic development (borrowing) and by using his charismatic personality, has taken the pulse of the religious and historical beliefs of the Turkish people . With passionate speeches and creating a sense of empathy and fraternity with the people,, he has taken steps from the point of making reforms towards to the centralization for political power.
