Abstract

Objective: The "Palestinian question" has emerged as the most important challenge in the Islamic world after the organized migration of Jews to Palestine in the late 19th century and its occupation in 1948. There have been different reactions from Islamic states and movements. Naturally, Takfiri-Salafist groups, claiming to be a defendant of Islam, cannot be indifferent to the Palestinian issue. The aim of this study is to analyze the position of Salafi-Takfiri groups on the Palestinian question. Accordingly, the main question of the article was "what is the position of the Palestinian question in the theoretical field and the political action of the Takfiri currents?"
Method: The method used in this paper to process the hypothesis is a historical-comparative method and an attempt has been made to explain the idea of the Palestinian question in the thought of Takfiri Salafis based on the theory of the near and far enemy.
Results: Selfie Takfiri divides the enemy into two parts, near and far, and most Muslims, both Shiites and Sunnis, who are not aligned with Takfiri thinking, are close enemies, and Israel, as a far enemy, is a priority in the struggle (jihad).
Conclusion: The examples of the far and near enemy have changed in the political thought and action of Salafi and Takfiri groups. In some areas, Zionism and Israel have been considered close enemies, but gradually the non-Salafi Muslims of Takfiri and Shiites have become close enemies and Israel is known as a far enemy, and such a Palestinian issue is marginalized in the thought and action of this current.
