Abstract

Objective: Iran and Saudi Arabia are known as two countries with effective regional powers in south west Asia due to their dominance and leadership of Shia and Sunni groups and the quality of their mutual relations directly effect current trends and evolutions in this important and strategic regional of world. Thus it is essential to comprehend about the future of the mutual relations in order to explain possible scenarios.
Method: In the first step of this research, effective factors in their relations (choosing 9 items as a reachable targets) as well as foremost important actors and regional effective powers affecting Iran-Saudi Arabia relationship (choosing 9 actors) were identified by studying documentaries and prior scientific case histories. Finally, by using MACTOR future studies software and crossover matrix analysis method, the key actors of region were identified.
Results: Iran, America and Russia were identified as the most key factors in the region.
Conclusion: Findings indicate that “divergence in Iran-Saudi Arabia relationship” is the most agreed factor among the actors.
