Abstract
Question of the impact of modernism on the rise of Islamic fundamentalism constitutes the main question of this study. The thesis of this study is Islamic fundamentalism, has been formed to deal with western modernism and mainly rooted at Sunni jurisprudence, Hanbali and Ashaari Fiqh. Most important representative of this sect in present is Neo-Wahhabism and Al-Qaeda. War, which was launched on September 11 by Al Qaeda, was not the war of Islam against Christianity or Judaism, but it is the war of Neo-Wahhabism and Al-Qaeda against all principles and cultural values that have been presented by modernity.
