Abstract

Regional uprisings mainly revolve around two issues: one is protest against foreign policies and presence of foreigner in the region and the other is dissatisfaction about domestic socio-economic conditions. The present study aims to study Islamic teachings effect on revolutionary developments of Egypt upon structural theory. Unlike some ideas about secularization of the movement in Middle East, this paper believes that maximalist trend is rooted through the Islamic teachings. The finding of the research proves that:

1) There is a meaning relation between Islamic political thought and geopolitical behavior of Moslems in the Middle East.
2) The recent developments in Egypt would strengthen political Islam in the region. So that there is a meaning relation between religious trend of Egyptians and their request about freedom, democracy, justice and economic welfare.
